VISION covers the entire spectrum of machine vision. The exhibitors in halls 1.0 to 4.1 will present, for example, machine vision applications and components and measuring systems which are used in practically every industry. They include cameras, frame grabbers, optical and lighting solutions, processors, complete system solutions, identification systems and services.
In the last three years the reported number of foreign exhibitors has risen continuously from 33 percent (2003) to 40 percent (2005). The number of visitors has also increased from 4,412 (2003) to 5,117 (2005), with 27 percent of these visitors coming from abroad.
The Industrial Vision Days, which are co-ordinated by the German Engineering Federation, are another aspect of the trade fair. Experts from industrial enterprises, institutes and other research facilities present the latest developments and information from the world of machine vision during this event. This free forum is held on all three days of the trade fair.
The VISION Award will be presented again this year. For 14 years, Messe Stuttgart has been honoring outstanding machine vision products, system solutions or processes through the presentation of this machine vision prize. Every company, university and research institute involved in the machine vision industry is invited to take part in this competition, irrespective of whether or not they are an exhibitor at VISION.
