- Pepperl+Fuchs acquired Christensen Display Products, manufacturers of industrial-grade, flat-panel monitors.
- Baldor acquired Maska, a Canadian manufacturer of mechanical power transmission components.
- Bentley Systems acquired Struc-Soft, a Canadian developer of 2D and 3D engineering design products.
- Schneider Electric and Fuji Electric established a joint venture in electrical distribution/industrial control.
- Datalogic acquired Datasensor, an Italian photoelectric sensors and devices manufacturer.
- Standex acquired BG Laboratories and its Modem and Scott-T transformers for aerospace and military.
