Austin Gets Ready for 19th Annual NIWeek

July 10, 2013
Global Conference Technical Tracks Include Automated Test Systems, Data Acquisition Systems, Embedded Systems and Software Development Techniques

According to National Instruments, all systems are ready to go at the 19th annual NIWeek beginning Aug. 5 at the Convention Center in Austin, Texas. This global conference on graphical system design is expected to bring together more than 3,200 leading engineers and scientists in industries ranging from automotive to telecommunications to robotics to energy.

Attendees can participate in interactive demonstrations, roundtable discussions, and keynote speeches to gain advanced technical knowledge and network with peers and NI developers.

In addition, attendees can learn about the company’s latest tools and techniques in lecture-style and hands-on sessions organized in four technical tracks and participate in knowledge sharing with leading experts in their fields. The tracks are Automated Test Systems, Data Acquisition Systems, Embedded Systems, and Software Development Techniques.

Industry-focused summits will examine new trends and techniques during targeted keynotes, product technical training, and demonstrations by NI developers and industry-leading researchers. Summit content topics will focus on Aerospace and Defense, Energy Technology, RF and Wireless, Transportation, and Vision.

In addition to a variety of technical sessions, NIWeek provides opportunities to enhance an attendees product knowledge and expertise during special events and workshops.

The hands-on Build Your Own Embedded System workshop focuses on extending LabView skills into FPGA-based design with reconfigurable I/O (RIO) architecture. Attendeees will learn how to use the LabView Real-Time and LabView FPGA modules to configure, program, and deploy a RIO-based embedded system and take it home with them after the conference.

The Future of System Design symposium brings together leaders from industry and academia to share insights on the cutting-edge tools and technologies that will shape the world of system design in the coming years. Learn from experts about the opportunities and challenges in developing the software to take advantage of these systems.

Attendees arriving early can gain in-depth product knowledge and hands-on hardware experience as well as learn best practices for developing applications by attending a two-day certified instructor-led training course with comprehensive content. These courses begin two days prior to NIWeek, and award 1.4 continuing education units to maintain a professional status such as Professional Engineer.
