Control systems integrator and Siemens automation solution partner Patti Engineering (PE) announced it will be hosting a seminar this week that will share Siemens automation programming expertise.

The Siemens seminar will be held at the Manufacturing in America Symposium on Wednesday and Thursday at Ford Field in Detroit as part of the Technology Tip-Off event. Siemens and industrial automation solution provider Electro-Matic Products will bring together executives, technology leaders and innovators in the manufacturing industry to discuss, demonstrate and display expertise in automation, controls and more, according to PE.

On Thursday in the South Press Alcove from 9–9:50 a.m. ET, Terrance Brinkley, senior electrical engineer for PE, will be reviewing the key factors involved in the implementation of Siemens technology at the session "Tips and Tricks When Programming for the Transline 2000 Standard." The presentation will include S7-300 PLCs, MP277B, OP177B, TP177B, Transline 2000 HMI Lite, WinCC Flexible and Step 7 technology, according to PE.

"Siemens Transline 2000 standard provides commonality, efficiency and expandability," said Brinkley. "If implemented properly, the technology can decrease downtime and development time, making future changes close to seamless."
