The companies’ complementary technology and market capabilities will enable motors, drives and gearmotors to be combined into application-engineered powered motion solution packages.

HTI Technology, Inc. announced that it acquired Klauber Machine & Gear, Co., earlier this month on June 1, 2016. According to HTI Technology, the acquisition will combine its expertise in AC and DC motor and drives systems with Klauber’s technology and market leadership in AC and DC gear motors.

The companies’ complementary technology and market capabilities will enable motors, drives and gearmotors to be combined into application-engineered powered motion solution packages, giving customers better performing and better value solutions for their power applications, says HTI Technology.

“With this Klauber acquisition, we are able to bring world class gearing design and production capabilities into the HTI solutions family,” said John Paul, CEO of HTI Technology.

“By combining Klauber’s very strong fractional horsepower gear motor products with American Control Electronics’ drives and controls technology [acquired in September 2015] and HTI’s AC, DC and brushless DC motors and mechanisms offerings, we will be able to work with our global customers to understand their powered motion needs and to offer complete application engineered solutions to meet those needs."
