Market Intelligence Report: Safety and Control System Integration

To learn how engineers, machine builders and system integrators are integrating safety and control systems, Control Design polled its readers. We gathered and analyzed answers from more than 130 respondents. Many use programmable machine controls but still default to hardwired safety systems. Participants agree that initially higher costs of integrating control and safety are offset by reduced downtime in the future, but that customer resistance and other obstacles still hinder integrating them.
