Leine & Linde gateway products enable motion system designers to include almost any encoder with an EnDat interface into their applications. A Profinet gateway has been added that also supports CANopen, DeviceNet and Profibus interfaces. The Profinet gateway is suitable for data exchanges with bus cycle times of a few milliseconds. It allows any EnDat 2.1 or 2.2 encoder to connect to a Profinet bus system. It supports encoder profile PNO 3.162 v.4.1 and is supplied with a GSDML configuration file and user manual. The gateways are available in two mechanical variants, both of which have 3xM12 connectors for the Profinet connection. For the encoder input, either an M23 or M12 connector is available.
