ENA58IL and ENA36IL are magnetic absolute rotary encoders that combine precision and high-speed resolution technology in a rugged, compact housing. The units feature accuracies up to 0.1°, resolution up to 16 bit single turn and 32 bit multiturn, and a signal processing time less than 100 µs. They work using a noncontact detection principle, which eliminates the need for glass disks used in pulse generation, and have no mechanical gearing. The devices need no internal battery to supply power to the electronics, and thus will not lose full-turn rotational data when power is removed.
