The corrosion-resistant Versa thermoplastic rack is made self-lubricating polymer, so it can run at full speed without additional lubrication. It also can withstand washdown, outdoor operation (even in coastal climates with salty air) and other challenges, making it suitable for use in dirty environments, clean rooms and food and pharmaceutical production. It features backlash less than 3.2 µm and positional accuracy of +/- 580 µm, depending on the pinion selected. It can withstand loads of 500 to 1,200 N, depending on pinion size. The speed rating of value pinions and thermoplastic racks is 480 to 750 rpms and 2 m/s.
