The 5500 series purge and pressurization system is an all-in-one technology for Div. 2/Zone 2 applications. The Type Z/Ex pz purge system includes global certifications, menu-driven programming and automatic leakage and temperature compensation. It comprises three components: a control unit, an EPV vent and a pneumatic solenoid or manual valve. The control unit can be internally or externally mounted and provides an interface that enables users to select from a list of custom programs. The vent functions as a pressure-relief device, enabling the purge gas to exit the enclosure while providing a seal when the enclosure is pressurized and operating.
