The ricosFLEX compact modular I/O fieldbus system enables machine design engineers to combine as many as 64 user modules on a single bus coupler to send I/O using Profibus, Profinet, CANopen, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT or Ethernet/IP protocols. System modules include bus couplers for each of the six most common industrial protocols; analog input and output modules with resolutions of up to 16 bits; and digital input and output modules with two to eight channels per module. Reaction times of 20 µs are possible with the integrated 48 Mbit/s backplane bus.
