Numerik Jena LIA 2 optical linear encoder series

The LIA 2 optical linear encoder series is equipped with a dual scanning window sensor so it can stand up to such contaminants as dust and fingerprints. This lightweight and compact non-contact encoder has high-speed motion feedback capability and a 20-micron grating period. The graduation is applied to either a glass or steel scale substrate. The steel scale substrate comes in Singleflex or Doubleflex options. The graduations can be ordered with several accuracy grades within a range of ±5 to ±-1 micron per meter. The scanning units come with options for optical switch sensors, which can be used for end-of-travel limit switches.
