These Series 400 explosion-protected touchscreen operating devices now are equipped with quad-core Atom E3845 from the Intel Bay Trail family. These processors are suitable for fanless systems and for Zone 1 hazardous areas. They integrate the CPU cores, graphics unit, memory and I/O interfaces on a single chip. Four CPU cores provide full 64-bit support. DDR3L-RAM provides greater memory bandwidth than that of older interfaces, and the Atom’s integrated HD graphics supports DirectX 11.1. The operating and monitoring systems are certified worldwide for Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 hazardous areas. All models are suitable for an ambient temperature range from -20 to 55 °C.
