The connectPower PRO dc/dc converter product line is designed specifically for the process, transportation and machinery industries. These converters now carry Class I, Div. 2 and ATEX certifications as well as Class III protection. This electrically isolated dc/dc converter line avoids critical earth loops; from an unregulated or distorted input voltage, it generates a stable, low-distortion output voltage. The compact converters are suitable for use in earth-free power systems, such as the battery backup systems in hazardous location applications. With a width of 43 mm for the 10-A module, the converters can be mounted side by side without clearance requirements.
