Industrial Bus and Network Standards

Over the past 50 years, improved external communication links from PC-based applications like HMI software to controllers and from controllers to I/O have greatly increased productivity in manufacturing and other industrial applications. More recently, internal hardware buses at the PC and the controller level have also improved, boosting performance and cutting costs.
