Dec 08, 2016

IDEC Corporation’s MicroSmart FC6A PLC has received the Good Design Award from the Japan Institute of Design Promotion, a public interest foundation. Combine with Its precursor the organization has been engaged in design evaluation for nearly 60 years.

Submissions for this award come from more than 4,000 entries submitted by more than 1,000 companies each year. According to IDEC, the deciding factor for the award selection is based on whether or not the product can enrich society and people's lives through its design.

The FC6A MicroSmart PLC combines the power of a PAC (programmable automation controller) in a low-cost controller with a small form factor. The PLC is programmed with IDEC’s WindLDR PC-based software, which can be used to program IDEC’s entire line of controllers.
