Electric Machinery, S.T. Cotter Turbine Services & Axis Mechanical form alliance

This alliance was announced on Sep. 1 by president of Electric Machinery Richard Fesmire, VP Operations of S.T. Cotter Shawn Cotter and president of Axis John Hanks.

Electric Machinery (WEG Group), S.T. Cotter Turbine and Axis Mechanical Group have announced a business alliance that according to the group will enable a complete aftermarket service capability for rotating equipment.

This alliance was announced on Sep. 1 by president of Electric Machinery Richard Fesmire, VP Operations of S.T. Cotter Shawn Cotter and president of Axis John Hanks.

“This partnership will allow our companies to better serve our customer base while offering more comprehensive maintenance and repair services - covering everything from exciter to substation,” Cotter said.

Together, the companies have a presence in industries from power generation plants, oil and gas processing plants, pulp and paper plants, to heavy industrial sites.

“Our companies’ mutual quest in searching for ways to best serve our customers led to this unique alliance," said Fesmire. Cotter is based in Clearwater, MN and is a provider of services, maintenance, and repair of industrial turbines and rotating equipment. Axis is based in Houston, TX and is a provider of installation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, and upgrade of industrial equipment.
