Oct. 10, 2018
Members are challenged to document their creative Halloween projects for the chance to win a 3D printer

element14.com, an online community for engineers, has launched a new competition that tasks members with building and blogging about a Halloween-themed electronic project for the chance to win a Creality CR-10S 3D printer.

The competition, entitled ‘Share The Scare,' requires members to share a new or existing Halloween-themed project on the element14 community. Entrants are encouraged to use any of the technology frequently featured on the element14 community, including Raspberry Pi, micro:bit, Arduino and BeagleBoard.

The closing date for submissions is Nov. 3, 2018, when a winner will be selected by the element14 community team, based on the level of skill and imagination demonstrated by the successful project entry.

"As the world’s leading online community for engineers and makers, element14 hosts a wide variety of incredibly creative and innovative projects. Our Halloween competition is an excellent opportunity to showcase that creativity," said Dianne Kibbey, global head of community and social media for the element14 community and Newark element14.
