MCAA announces 2018 MC&A Hall of Fame inductee

Peter G. Martin, vice president of strategic ventures with Schneider Electric, will be inducted into the Measurement, Control and Automation Hall of Fame on Tuesday, April 24 during the Association’s Industry Forum in Houston, TX.

The Measurement, Control & Automation Association will induct Peter G. Martin, vice president of strategic ventures with Schneider Electric, into the Measurement, Control and Automation Hall of Fame on Apr. 24 during the Association’s Industry Forum in Houston, Texas. Martin recently was featured recently in our article "A whiteboard for automation." 

Martin becomes the seventh member of the Hall of Fame, whose members include Gordon Arnold (Sierra Monitor), Wade Mattar (Schneider Electric), Robert Deane and Malcolm McQueen (both FCI), Richard Morley (deceased, Father of the PLC), and Judy Stevenson (deceased, Magnetrol).

Martin joined the Foxboro Company 30 years ago. He holds several patents and has authored numerous published articles and technical papers and written two books.

Also active with his industry trade association, after several years on the MCAA Board of Directors, Dr. Martin served as Chairman in 2017. He has also been very active in leading the Association’s efforts regarding Workforce Development.

He has been named a Hero of Manufacturing by Fortune Magazine, holds the Life Achievement Award from the Automation Founders Circle and has been named one of the 50 Most Influential Innovators of All Time by ISA.
