Ecosine FN3418 passive harmonic filters remove harmful harmonics of a predetermined order and help to increase supplied power reliability. They are suitable for use with nonlinear loads such as motor drives (nominally 5 to 250 hp); equipment with front-end, six-pulse rectifiers; fans; pumps; HVAC equipment; and dc fast chargers. Designed to operate at 98% efficiency and installed at the three-phase voltage of 480 Vac (±10%), at 60 Hz (±1 Hz), these products reduce harmonics to 7 to 10% THDi and comply with IEEE 519, table 10-3. They have a panel-mounted design and are lightweight, quiet and equally suited for new installations and retrofits.
