Robots Not Just for Space. Soon They'll Be Working At your Local Farms

Forbes reports that the European Union Seventh Framework Program (FP7) cRops (Clever Robots for Crops) is focusing on developing robots to harvest high value crops. The cRops robotic platform is said to be capable of site-specific spraying and selective harvesting of fruit.

Harvest Automation, a robotics company based out of Billerica, is building a new sort of agricultural robot to help plant nurseries and greenhouses maintain their plant collections. See how these robots work in the video below.
