Insulation type MTW machine tool wire is available in 22 AWG to 10 AWG. The 22 AWG wire offers a 3-amp 600-V rating, which is needed for many types of terminal block connections that cannot accept larger wire. The conductors primarily are used in control cabinets, machine tool applications and appliance wiring applications at temperatures from -25 to 105 °C. Voltage rating for all applications is 600 V. The wire is sold in 500-ft spools, and certain sizes also are available in 2,500-ft reels. Conductors are bare, annealed copper and the wire outer jacket is color-coded PVC that is flame-retardant and heat- and moisture-resistant.
