The i6A product family of nonisolated dc-dc converters is available in 20-A versions. Capable of operating from an input voltage of 9 to 53 V, the i6A4W step-down converters deliver an output voltage that can be adjustable from 3.3 to 15 V. These products allow operation from 48-V inputs and can be used as drop-in replacements for isolated 1/6th converters driving 12-V POL devices. In the 1/16th brick form factor, measuring 33 by 22.9 by 12.7 mm, the converters also can be used in conjunction with single-output 12-, 24-, 36- and 48-V-output ac-dc power supplies to generate additional regulated high-current outputs, with or without battery backup.
