Pepperl+Fuchs ETL certification program

Pepperl+Fuchs is piloting Intertek’s ETL Hazardous Locations Panel Program
June 20, 2016

Pepperl+Fuchs is piloting Intertek’s ETL Hazardous Locations Panel Program. The program provides a streamlined approach to certifying custom-made industrial control panels, along with the internal components, without third-party approval. This certification allows the company to certify all of the components inside its control panels, regardless of the manufacturer. The ETL mark (Edison Test Laboratories) is proof of product compliance to North American safety standards covered by OSHA's Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) program. To qualify for the program, the company underwent an initial audit to inspect manufacturing practices and panels that would carry ETL certification as well as training and compliance for testing standards.
