Designed for cabinet installation, the CP22xx series combines a multi-touch interface with multi-core processors for automation and control applications. A range of control panels and panel PCs, along with TwinCAT automation software, offers a portfolio to solve all PLC, motion and HMI tasks in a machine or factory. Equipped with multi-core CPUs—Intel Celeron, Core i3, i5 (all with two cores) or i7 (four cores) of the third and fourth generation—the CP22xx panel PCs are available in a range of available screen sizes from 12- to 24-in.

Safety Controller Monitoring

The Status Display Touchscreen for G9SP programmable safety controllers is a plug-and-play touchscreen, displaying safety I/O error codes and enabling G9SP users to view the status of safety inputs. Users are able to reset up to four zones directly from the touchscreen. The status display touchscreen’s front panel is 96.0 x 96.0 x 7.0 mm, with an active display area of 58.5 x 58.5 mm. The display is LCD monotone, with 16 shades of gray. An EIP module enables programmable devices that follow ODVA guidelines for EtherNet/IP to communicate with G9SP controllers.

HMI Choices Graphite HMIs are full-color touchscreens in eight models and 7-, 9-, 10-, 12- and 15-in widths. They have an operating range of -10 and 60 °C and directly accept I/O modules for PID control, dc voltage and current, thermocouples, RTUs and other components. The 15.6-in Unistream has a color touchscreen with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and support for 16M colors. The CPU and I/O modules snap on to the back of the HMI panel to form an integrated PLC for users’ specific needs. UniLogic studio software is designed to predict the programmer’s intentions and reuse written code. Programmers build a library of user-defined function blocks and HMI screens that can be imported to new projects or shared with other programmers.

Legacy HMI Upgrade If you need to upgrade or replace your legacy PanelView, the EtherNet/IP to Remote I/O or DH+ Gateway can help. The gateway allows legacy PanelViews on remote I/O to be upgraded to the PanelView Plus family (6, 7) on EtherNet/IP. The gateway can support up to eight PanelViews on the same network, and you won’t need to change your PLC code. The gateway also has a built-in Web server that can view diagnostics and current configuration and upload configuration files. Graphic HMI

The 7-in Graphic HMIs are a combination of size, features and affordability. The 5070L model is certified Class I, Div. 2 for use in hazardous locations. The 5070L model also offers bright 16-million color display, 800 x 480 pixel high-resolution TFT, analog resistive touchscreen, one Ethernet port, two serial ports, one host USB port, 128 MB flash and 128 MB DRAM.

Compatible Panel

The EZ-Light TL70 modular tower light features LED drive technology. The 70-mm tower light can display up to five colors—plus an audible alarm module—in one tower, which allows for multiple colors to be lit simultaneously. The 92-dB adjustable alarm offers four user-selectable tones, including pulsed, chirp, siren or continuous. For optimal performance, each light segment can be selected solid ON or flashing, and appears gray when off to eliminate false indication from ambient light.

Automation Suite

The Kollmorgen Automation Suite HMI is a rugged IP65-rated touchscreen HMI panel featuring a single-surface screen with widescreen format, a rugged aluminum chassis housing and premium configuration and screen-building software as standard features. In addition, all models provide Ethernet and are programmed with the Kollmorgen Visualization Builder graphical tool. The HMI uses a 16:9 format. All standard models also feature integrated Ethernet, as well as data logging and trending software. Nine different panels can all be programmed using the same premium software.

Do More Point of View SCADA/HMI software now supports the Do-more PLC as a standard driver. This complements the existing Productivity3000, DirectLOGIC and CLICK drivers previously available. Take advantage of either the main or standard driver sheets, which are supported for all drivers; however, the main benefit is the use of tag integration, allowing the user to directly import the exported tag name database .csv file from the controller into the software.

Backlit Display

The LT4000 Series HMI offers 3.5-in and 5.7-in LED backlit LCD displays. Display and communication modules can be separated for quick mounting into a standard 22-mm hole without the need to create a larger panel cutout. It offers a full graphics touchscreen interface with a choice of serial or Ethernet connectivity. These models are programmed with the versatile GP-Pro EX development software.

Low-Power Flat Panel The 12.1-in and 15-in TPC-1251T and TPC-1551T touch panel computers with an Intel Atom E3827 1.75-GHz processor features iDoor technology. With isolated DI/O ports, Profibus and CANOpen modules, the iDoor technology is designed to increase the functionality of these TPCs. There are two USB 3.0 ports and a PCI slot for adding functions. The iDoor technology slot uses a mini PCIe connector, and, if not being used for iDoor, it can be used for adding additional cards such as Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS. If further I/O ports are needed, an expansion kit provides additional storage for hard disks/solid state disk and iDoor modules.

Mobile Panels

These second-generation wired Simatic HMI mobile panels offer a brilliant, fully dimmable, 7- or 9-in 16-million color widescreen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio that is 40% larger than previous models. Featuring a unique illuminated e-stop button, the panels include both key and touch operation. Built-in Profinet connections are configured with the Simatic WinCC engineering tool in the TIA Portal and a Style Editor. One-third the size of previous models, the IP65 mobile panels connection box may be mounted directly on a cabinet and operates across a wide range of temperatures (from 0 to 45 °C). The industrial enclosures are dust-tight and chemical- and splash-resistant. The mobile panels also include a maintenance-free energy storage system that ensures 5 min of operation with no power supply.

HMI-Compliant LED Meters

The NTM Series of bargraph meters uses a tri-color display to indicate process status (green signifies a safe reading, yellow signifies a cautious reading, and red signifies an unsafe one). This mode of communication between the human operator and the machine means there’s no need to have to think about whether or not a reading is safe or unsafe. The NTM series is available in 20 different models and is available in loop, signal and external power.
