Survey Results Show Respondents Use Centralized I/O and Remote/Distributed I/O the Most

An electronic survey of Control Design readers was conducted in June 2013 in order to identify usage and application trends of I/O and terminal blocks among the industrial machine builders that comprise Control Design's readership.

Nearly 37% of survey respondents use centralized I/O, but have some remote while a further 37% use Remote/distributed I/O, but have some centralized; 25% use mostly or entirely centralized/rack mounted I/O compared to nearly 7% who use mostly or entirely remote/distributed I/O.
