Reader Feedback: Taking It Global

Sept. 5, 2011
Why Publish a Phone Number When it Might Only Work Locally?

You will definitely see 888-endress on all of our publicity in the U.S., and I can say our phone has been ringing all year.

I'm very interested in the outcome of your poll. [Editor' note: See http://www.controldesign.com/industrynews/2011/phone-a-supplier-survey-says-yes.html.] I wonder if companies may be getting away from it since your publication is more global, and they are serving a global market, so any single number listed would only work for a portion of readers anyway. And directing readers to the web pages will allow them to find the number of their local office.
