Phone a Supplier? Easier Said Than Rung

June 17, 2011
Should Automation Supplier Companies Include a Phone Number in Their Press Releases so You Can Call and Request More Information?

In the many, many product announcements we get, we note that fewer and fewer automation supplier companies include a phone number to call for more information. They provide an email address and their web site url. We then hunt around to track down a phone number to include when we post or print information about a particular product. Sometimes it's about as easy to find as a rotary dial phone.

Some companies clearly have no interest in providing a follow-up number. We also know that just having a phone number is no guarantee that you'll ever find a real person to help you on the other end of the line. So who's got this right?
