Hubbell acquired Pcore Electric Co., a manufacturer of high-voltage condenser bushings used in the electric utility infrastructure to provide safe passage of electricity into and out of transformers.

Fieldbus Foundation, Hart Communication Foundation, and Profibus Nutzerorganisation formed the Wireless Cooperation Team to collaborate on wireless technology in discrete and process manufacturing. The project is an extension of prior collaboration on EDDL.

Schneider Electric purchased Brazilian machinery manufacturer Atos Automacao Industrial Ltd.
