Programs such as For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) are helping prep tomorrow's scientists, mathematicians and engineers by improving their skill-sets and knowledge.

Creativity, collaboration, persistence and confidence are lessons that cannot be taught from a textbook.

Rockwell Automation is inviting teams participating in FIRST LEGO League (FLL), FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) to submit a short video for its "Engineering Our Future" contest that answers the question: What could your team engineer that would have a positive impact on your community and our world?

The contest was established to jump start the imaginations of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) students.

Rockwell Automation will award up to $10,000 in grants that will be split among the winning teams.
