Pentair Equipment Protection Simplifies Electrical System and Electronic Controls Protection by Consolidating McLean Brand Under Hoffman Brand

Pentair Equipment Protection has decided to consolidate the company's McLean-brand product line under its Hoffman-brand to help engineers simplify cooling system selection and design.

Engineers designing industrial systems are faced with the overwhelming choice of enclosures, cabinets, racks, embedded computing systems and more when it comes to electrical and electronic protection product selection.

"The complexity of industrial systems and technology has advanced with more automated and electrical equipment across applications and more operations in remote, harsh or hazardous environments that require more robust equipment protection," said Alok Maskara, president of Technical Solutions for Pentair. "Moving our industry-leading portfolio of cooling products and services under the Hoffman brand is a win-win for our customers and Pentair. Streamlining our brands will make it easier for customers to see our broad capabilities, and enable them to more quickly select the equipment protection systems and components they need."

The Hoffman brand gains the former-McLean product and service portfolio, adding nearly a half a century of cooling and engineering support experience. With the consolidation, Hoffman offerings will be one of the widest selections available for electronic controls protection and electrical systems in industrial, data communications, infrastructure and energy applications.

The McLean line of air conditioners, heat exchangers, air movers, controls and design products specifications will not change with the consolidation. The consolidation will not affect service contract offerings during the first quarter of 2014.
