Krones Signs Contract With Eplan to Migrate All Global CAE Systems

140 Krones workstations will be replaced with Eplan Electric P8, Eplan Fluid, Eplan Pro Panel and the new EEC One.

German packaging and bottling machine manufacturer Krones signed an agreement with Eplan today to migrate all of its global CAE systems to the Eplan Platform solution.

As part of a company-wide initiative to define a "clear path for the future," Krones said interdepartmental engineering cooperation and the use of configurators to increase automation were two major factors that lead to choosing Eplan. Following a multi-stage incorporation of SAP, electrical and fluid engineering and the integration of enclosure productionat the plant level will see improvements.

"Our consulting team is in the starting blocks ready to press ahead with the rapid implementation," said Maximilian Brandl, chairman of the Executive Board of Eplan, in regards to the new initiative.

Krones' CAE environment will undergo several changes including engineering efficiency improvements, maximizied potential with new strategic principles, standardized software, introduction of interdisciplinary engineering, integration, further development of configuration and process automation.
