Bertelkamp Automation Agreement Allows Expansion of Product Education Program to Southern U.S. States
Source: Mitsubishi Electric AutomationMitsubishi Electric Automation (MEA) has authorized developer of pneumatic, hydraulic, and motion control components and systems Bertelkamp Automation, as a certified training center (CTC) for its advanced technology. The new training center in Knoxville, Tenn., creates an environment where MEA and its employees can conduct exercises for its programmable logic controls, human machine interfaces, variable-frequency drives and robots. The agreement will expand MEA's product training program beyond its headquarters in Vernon Hills, Ill., and regional sales offices. The Bertelkamp training center is now the first in  Southern U.S. to provide MEA university-based training. "The Southeast has a large concentration of Mitsubishi Electric Automation customers," said Mark Werthman, director of Technical Support Group for MEA. "We established a certified training center at Bertelkamp Automation to provide these customers with easier access to training. The demand for training in that region has increased significantly over the past few years and the addition of the CTC in Knoxville will allow us to better respond to that increased demand."MEA will train Bertelkamp instructors to teach its curriculum to ensure education is delivered the same as it would be at its own training center."We view the certified training center as an investment in our ongoing commitment to customer service and training," said Bert Bertelkamp, president of Bertelkamp. "The Southeast location is more convenient and cost effective for our customers. Offering this level of training at the local level is another way we can bring value to our customers, as well as reinforce our strong relationship with Mitsubishi Electric Automation."
