NovaTorque to Present Magnet Motor Technology at WBT Innovation Marketplace

Sept. 18, 2012
NovaTorque, a Producer of Highly Energy Efficient Electric Motors, Selected to Present at WBT Innovative Marketplace in San Diego

NovaTorque Inc, a Fremont CA based producer of energy efficient electric motors, has been selected to present at the 10th annual WBT Innovation Marketplace presented by Northrup Grumman. This event is taking place October 24 – 26, 2012 at the San Diego Convention Center.

Emily Liggett, NovaTorque CEO, will speak about the company's cost effective, energy efficient, non-rare earth permanent magnet motor technology. She will also discuss future plans for NovaTorque's proprietary technology to some of the country's Fortune 1000 corporate licensees, federal agency representatives and university technology transfer managers.

According to Ligget, NovaTorque's technology provides real potential to reduce the energy consumed and carbon emissions produced by electric motors. The patented flux-focusing stator and rotor hub geometry allows NovaTorque's motors to produce this performance with an all-ferrite (versus rare earth) magnet design.

"We look forward to showcasing our breakthrough motor design and helping WBT attendees see first-hand how it can save our customers energy and money," said Liggett.

As in previous years, the 2012 WBT Innovation Marketplace represents the collaborative, yearlong effort of investors, licensees, and tech commercialization professionals. The WBT is deal-focused and diverse, showcasing companies and technologies that vary by geography, funding source and type of research institution. Participating technologies are selected by and presented to seasoned venture investors and Fortune 500 licensing scouts representing a variety of growth oriented industries.

WBT 2012 will be hosted by the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation and CONNECT.
