Rise in Pay Is Indicative of Noticeable Increases in Demand for Qualified Automation Professionals
Are you satisfied at your job or with your salary? Intech's September/October 2011 salary survey released last year showed little to no increase in average salary from 2011 to 2012, but showed more than an 80% increase in job satisfaction. Rick Zabel, vice president and publisher of Automation.com, set a challenge for automation professionals for the 2012-2013 year. He asked them to step up their game and to try solving underlining issues that affect their manufacturing operations and profitability. With 2013 just around the corner, do you feel any different this year about your performance than you did at the end of 2011. If not, the question to ask yourself is: What can you do to analyze, optimize and improve your productivity to show your boss how much your worth? If you had to value yourself at a given price, how much would it be? And is your salary matching it?
