Nov. 1, 1998: Iridium inaugurated the first handheld, global satellite phone and paging system.
Nov. 5, 1999: A 12-day conference on global warming, attended by delegates from 170 nations, ended in Bonn, Germany.
Nov. 7, 2001: The Concorde resumed flying commercially after a 16-month stoppage.
Nov. 10, 2001: The World Trade Organization approved China's membership.
Nov. 12, 2002: Stan Lee, creator of Spider-Man, Incredible Hulk and Daredevil, filed a lawsuit against Marvel Entertainment claiming the company had cheated him out of millions of dollars in movie profits related to the 2002 movie "Spider-Man."
Nov. 16, 2004: A NASA unmanned "scramjet" (X-43A) reached a speed nearly 10 times the speed of sound above the Pacific Ocean.
Nov. 13, 2006: Google completed its acquisition of YouTube.
Nov. 13, 2009: NASA announced that water had been discovered on the moon.
Nov. 4, 2010: Microsoft's Kinect was launched worldwide.
