The United States is among the top 10 globally in robot density, with 285 robots for every 10,000 employees, according to the International Federation of Robotics 2022 annual report. Korea still leads the world with 1,012, and Germany moved into third with 415 industrial robots per 10,000 employees.
At this year’s Hannover Messe in Germany, a special highlight will be featured the Application Park in Hall 5. The German Robotics Association (DRV) has made it a mission to promote and foster the use of robotics in Germany.
"With the robotics experts from DRV, we have partners at our side with whom we will further build on the topic of robotics, in conjunction with that of automation, at Hannover Messe. There is no better place in the world to showcase the diverse examples of robotic applications," says Hubertus von Monschaw, global director, Hannover Messe at Deutsche Messe.
The DRV will be the exclusive partner of the Application Park for the coming year. There, young robotics companies and startups in particular will present the diverse spectrum of possible applications for robots, as well as the interaction between humans, machines and artificial intelligence. Visitors can get a firsthand look at robotics-based automation and try it out for themselves.
"This exhibition platform offers visitors to Hannover Messe a unique opportunity to engage with new technologies and learn how robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and automation can help solve the enormous challenges facing industry," enthuses Helmut Schmid, CEO of the DRV.
Around two months before Hannover Messe, the 13th Robotics Congress will take place on February 6-7 at the Technology Academy in Hanover, Germany. In plenary sessions or in workshops, participants will have the opportunity to gain an insight into the latest developments and trends in the field of robotics, which they can then experience firsthand at Hannover Messe April 22-26. The DRV is playing an active role as development partner behind the program.
Hannover Messe trade fair’s theme of Industrial Transformation brings together exhibiting companies from the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and digital industries, as well as the energy sector, to present solutions for future production methods and the energy supply.
