CAD/CAM Connect Launches Online Series of Articles to Help Buyers Make the Right Purchasing Decisions

When researching computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) hardware and software, companies are confronted with the challenge of selecting products that best fit their workflow process.

Online manufacturing destination CAD/CAM Connect recognized how daunting and confusing choices are for manufacturers and thereby launched an online series of articles that provide "insider tips" for buyers, mechanical engineers, machinists, design and IT professionals.

The online tool focuses on what buyers should know and what to ask before making a final purchase.

"You've got to know the right questions to ask, and the right people to get answers from,” says Ken Wilson, founder and CEO of CAD/CAM Connect. "We have access to these suppliers and experts on one website and we're one phone call or email away. If we can help simplify this process, while helping people make better decisions, we've done our job. This is one of the reasons we launched this series."

Wilson teamed up with online mechanical CAD community ConnectPress to create CAD/CAM Connect, which now grants more than 350,000 ConnectPress access to articles and communities such as Autodesk Inventor, Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks and CATIA, Siemens SolidEdge and Parametric Technologies Creo (PTC).

"With CAD/CAM Connect's industry knowledge, thousands of engineering and supplier contacts, and strong understanding of the entire design to manufacturing workflow process, we knew the articles (Ken Wilson) and his partner suppliers provided would be valuable to our audience," says Dan Raker, publisher for ConnectPress.
