Schneider Electric launched the company’s latest facility in the Raleigh, North Carolina, area May 26. RaleighHub, the brand new 65,000-square-foot hybrid facility, will be home to the company’s more than 400 area employees.

During the RaleighHub launch event, Schneider Electric announced the donation of $300,000 in electrical products, software and materials, to North Carolina A&T State University. This donation will be used to modernize the university’s industrial automation lab for the Spring of 2023. Once completed, students will learn on the latest industrial software and equipment, preparing them for success in innovative careers after graduation.

Aamir Paul, president, North America Operations, Schneider Electric said: “Today’s workforce is changing, both in how and where we work. With the RaleighHub, we are responding by providing a flexible work environment to meet our team’s needs, while optimizing the facility itself for our business needs and our sustainability goals. As part of this launch, we are also proud to invest in this region’s next generation of innovators by supporting North Carolina A&T State University. These investments allow us to educate and enrich the lives of students in the community where they live and prepare them for their future endeavors.”

The RaleighHub hybrid space includes research and development labs, customer training rooms, conference areas, collaboration spaces and employee workstations. The building features the latest building management technologies, including EcoStruxure Building Automation (BMS), EcoStruxure Security Expert and Power Monitoring Expert, to drive energy efficiency and control, while ensuring the comfort, safety and security of all its occupants.

This facility consolidates the former Morrisville and Knightdale buildings, optimizing the company’s regional footprint and reinforcing its commitment to the Raleigh area. This is the latest in the company’s focus to increase facility efficiency. This follows the company’s NashvilleHub launch in 2018 which resulted in a 67% reduction in energy usage, a 55% optimization in square footage and a 12% increase in employee engagement score one year after opening.
