Spring-applied power-off motor brakes

These spring-applied power-off motor brakes hold or stop a load when power is removed or lost. This fail-safe mechanism prevents axes from moving (or stops axes already in motion). They have NEMA-standard input/output mounting flanges. The front mount is compatible with ClearPath integrated servos, Hudson standalone brushless servo motors and stepper motors with or without encoders. NEMA 23 and 34 frame sizing is available. With zero backlash and low inertia, the brakes will not degrade motor performance. They also have a low current draw of less than 500 milliamps.
