The HVCM-095-038-051-01 voice coil (or moving coil linear motor) has an open aperture of 2 in (50.8 mm). This brushless servo motor is clean room-friendly and available off the shelf. The linear motor offers high acceleration/deceleration, high speed, zero cogging and no backlash when connected directly to a load. The open aperture allows for optics, illumination, laser beams or cables. It is capable of high precision when used in closed-loop applications and has a continuous force rating of 10 lb (66.7 N), a peak force of 47.5 lb (211.0 N) at a 10% duty cycle, a 3.75-in (95.3-mm) diameter and a housing length of 1.5 in (38.1 mm) with a 0.5-in (12.7-mm) stroke.
