Bimba Introduces Efficient, Versatile MHRQ Series of Rotary Actuators

Aug. 6, 2014
The MHRQ line is particularly suited to a broad range of general light-duty automation processes, including pick & place, material transfer, clamping, camming and indexing.

Bimba Manufacturing Company, an industry leading provider of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric solutions, and its subsidiary Mead Fluid Dynamics (MFD), an innovative manufacturer of pneumatic components, today added extruded pneumatic rotary actuators to its full line of rotary actuators.

The new MHRQ double-rack, rack & pinion series includes a robust, clean and compact extruded aluminum body for maximum mounting efficiency.  A magnetic piston for position-sensing is included on all models along with multiple port locations for flexibility with plumbing.  The actuators are available with four bore sizes, offering a range of torque output to 85 in lbs.  They are interchangeable with popular international brands.

The MHRQ line is particularly suited to a broad range of general light-duty automation processes, including pick & place, material transfer, clamping, camming and indexing.

"The MHRQ extruded rotary actuator is a logical extension of the full line of air preparation equipment, solenoid valves and extruded thrusters that comprise our MFD product series. The new MHRQ series maintains the high quality standard for which MFD Pneumatics is known and that our customers have come to expect," said Tom Kane, general manager for Mead Fluid Dynamics.
