ASI-SP Series, Type 4 Class C (II) surge protection devices (SPDs) use an innovative patented MOV technology to withstand short circuits, protecting costly equipment from the potentially catastrophic impact of arcs, overvoltages and lightning. The devices have an UL SCCR rating of 200 kA, with a response time of less than 25 nanosecond. They come in voltages ranging from 150 to 690 V, include visual indication and have an optional remote alarm contact. The ASI SP Series is tested to Type 1 or 2 and meet all the requirements of UL 1449 3rd edition and IEC 61643-11.
