The XMG miniature linear stage’s ironless motor delivers 100% cogging-free smooth and linear motion. The motor is designed to minimize force ripple and force variations and ensure that force variation along the motor’s electrical cycle is minimal. With a sinusoidal back EMF, the stage ensures that the force ripple also is negligible. The high-power direct-drive motor allows for large payloads and fast step and settle. As a result, this product is suitable for high-throughput systems in which a high rate of acceleration is essential. In a 50-mm stroke stage, the MMG is capable of 14 g acceleration.
