A new PLC development system has been integrated into InstantHMI Architecture. This system includes IHMI-PLC Designer and IHMI-PLC Runtime. The Designer allows users to create PLC programs using one or more of the four major IEC 61131-3 programming languages. While the IHMI-PLC Runtime on the target platform performs user-programed PLC logic, it provides direct I/O control access to the HMI screens. Users can create HMI tags to map all the PLC variables of interest and monitor and control the values in registers, coils and digital and analog I/O. The same program can run on a Windows PC or CE platform.
