The C6 Smart IPC uses an ARM Cortex-A9 CPU (1 GHz) and is suitable for applications requiring coordinated real-time motion control. The unit is DIN rail-mounted and measures 47mm wide. It is offered in dual-core and quad-core versions. The quad-core version gives users an improved performance experience over previous embedded controls from the company by including additional processing power allotted for visualization and a DVI-D port to integrate with visualization systems such as the C6 monitor. A dual-core version also is available for PLC or machine control. A micro-UPS with 512 KB of persistent/retain memory to protect against power outages is included as standard.
