The RVP vision measurement probe for use with the Revo five-axis measurement system on coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) increases multisensor capability by adding noncontact inspection to the system's existing touch-trigger, high-speed tactile scanning and surface finish measurement capability. The system consists of a probe and a range of modules that automatically are interchangeable with all other probe options. Data from multiple sensors automatically is referenced to a common datum. This flexibility means that the optimal tool can be selected to inspect a range of features. Integrated programmable LED lighting inside each module provides part illumination.
