The FBs-CMGSM communication PLC module uses GSM networks to transfer data. One of its primary functions is to send and receive SMS text messages. The module reads PLC registers periodically to send SMS messages when triggered. It connects to an IP address in the specified PLC port and is designed to read destination phone numbers and strings of characters in text format automatically. Any SIM card that provides Internet connection over a GSM network can be used with this module. The methods to acquire the GSM net are SMS, GPRS and Data Call CSD, and all three can be activated at the same time.
