The c250-S safety controller enables engineers to program all of a machine’s safety needs using one engineering tool based on the PLCopen standard. Integrating the controller into an automation system can improve diagnostics and reduce the number of interfaces and components because safety has been integrated into the system. This helps users implement projects more quickly because software tools for drive technology and safety no longer differ, which can be beneficial when implementing projects that require machine operators to take action within a machine’s danger zone. This uniformity makes it possible, via EtherCAT, to display diagnostic messages in more detail.
