The Aport-213 aims to allow nearly any device with serial ports to connect and share a WLAN network

Artila's Aport-213 is a single-port, serial-to-Wifi gateway that provides connectivity for serial devices, such as meters and sensors to 802.11 wireless local area networks (WLANS). According to Artila, the Aport-213 eliminates the need for the development of a wireless LAN driver and security supplicant.

With Aport-213, existing serial devices can be used with the most popular operating systems on the market. There is no need to write special drivers for specific operating systems since Aport-213 can be configured as a transparent bridge. This allows a Serial device to communicate wirelessly with no modifications required.

Aport-213 supports Cloud connectivity with the enterprise security including WPA, WPA2, WEP plus 802.1x authentication, including 802.1x Extensible Authentication protocol (EAP) with all the major EAP types and WPA2, WPA2-PSK, WPA, WPA-PSK and WEP wireless security. Aport-213 is suitable for remote monitoring environments such as agriculture, smart energy, security systems, factory automation and more.
